Erin Bourne
Erin is a multi-passionate yogini, weaving many modalities and practices together. Her vinyasa classes blend mindfulness, strength, mobility and dance-like flow, coming from over 12 years experience teaching yoga, and pilates mat, reformer and barre.
Erin lives in a small Australian coastal town, at the southern tip of the Great Barrier Reef and tends to be more mermaid than earth goddess. For this reason she is eternally grateful for the grounding gift of regular yoga practice and teaching regular classes. When not at home in the ocean or studio she facilitates on Yoga and Pilates teacher trainings in Australia and internationally.
Anatomy and Physiology are one of Erin’s passions, she loves to geek out over movement and the body. Especially now research is proving the benefits of the yoga practice for body, mind and spirit. Erin has a Bachelor of Exercise Science, and continues to study movement. She is a Thai and Swedish massage practitioner, as well as Functional Range Conditioning, Myofascial Release, and Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilisation facilitator. All of which inform her teachings. There’s always more to learn and share with yogis, and teachers in training.
Erin is also a writer and you may come across her yoga and health related articles in platforms such as Yoga U, Yoga Basics and Australian Yoga Journal. In person classes and trainings remain her favourite way to share, and she looks forward to learning and growing with each beautiful group of students.
